Finally CAught Up: Trip to the Ranch in Sangay National Park

Bread and Bananas!

Our classy transport

We fed our banana peels to a pig on the side of the road

This was a horse that was very upset about having to get out of the road for us

An interesting house on the side of the road

The road gets smaller

The CUTEST piglets ever were just snuggling on the side of the road

A church

The road gets even smaller and has a river running across it

Crossing the river

The road gets even smaller

At the ranch house Seb is wearing a local traditional mask

Pre Colombian grinding stone.  There are at least one hundred of these around the ranch

Cross section of a very large plant

  1. Was there a large settlement on this site in Pre Columbian times?
